Building on current European, cross-border, national and private initiatives, this joint workshop focuses on identifying the main challenges ahead to develop the so-called European Data Space, essential for the development of AI, and to identify potential paths for the future.
The workshop is organised jointly by the European Commission (DG CNECT), the Big Data Value Association, and the euRobotics Association.
Introduction
After the great success of last edition, the European Big Data Value Forum 2018 will be held in Vienna from the 12th to the 14th of November 2018. BDVA organises its next Activity Group meeting for members in Brussels on October 18-19. Specific workshops/sessions in topics such as Digital Skills, Smart Manufacturing Industry, i-Spaces and Data Platforms (IDPs and PDPs) are organised in the context of this Activity Group meeting. BDVA members can find all the relevant information and register in the BDVA Intranet.
We invite you to the first QHHQ seminar on Tuesday 17 October 2017 in Brussels where new groundbreaking work by Andrew Odlyzko will be presented and debated by a.o. Rogier Delanghe, Leo Van Hove, Francesco Nucci and Malte Beyer-Katzenberger.
On the 6th of September the BDVA Activity Group Meeting was held in Brussels. The meeting aims at discussing the outcomes and the exchange of ideas on various relevant topics such as BDVA i-Spaces/IDP/PDP, Data Ownership, Big Data BDVA Reference Model, Big Data – HPC, Smart Manufacturing Industries and SMEs. The focus of many of the activities is on providing input to the Big Data Value Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) update to v4.0.
