BDVA Secretary General will speak at an EP event - Generative AI: opportunities, risks and challenges

 

BDVA Secretary General Ana Garcia Robles and BDVA Board Member Andrejs Vasiļjevs will be speaking at "Generative AI: opportunities, risks and challenges", a European Parliament - STOA event taking place on 7 November, starting from 14:00.

We are also honoured to have EBDVF 2022 co-organiser Jan Hajic present in the discussions, alongside other top experts.

EBDVF 2023: Shaping Europe’s Data-driven Innovation Ecosystem

 

Valencia, Spain, 30 October 2023 — The entire European data-driven AI research and innovation community met in Valencia from 25-27 October to share knowledge, establish collaborations and celebrate achievements during the European Big Data Value Forum 2023. EBDVF is BDVA’s flagship event, organised in collaboration with the European Commission and local partners, under the auspices of the Spanish European Council presidency.The EBDVF 2023 was organised in collaboration with ITI (Instituto Tecnológico de Informática), a private technological centre of reference in ICT, INCLIVA VLC (Biomedical Research Institute), the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia), alongside the European Commission (DG CNECT).

EBDVF 2023: Empowering Europe’s Data Innovation Ecosystem - Unveiling Excellence in Data-Driven i-Spaces

Valencia, Spain, 27 October 2023 — The Big Data Value Association (BDVA) made a significant announcement during the European Big Data Value Forum 2023, a landmark event in the data technology landscape. In a keynote titled “Envisaging a Data-Empowered Future with EUHubs4Data and i-Spaces Federation” Daniel Sáez-Domingo, Technology Transfer Director in ITI and coordinator of EUHubs4Data project highlighted the value that the i-Spaces community provides to European Data and AI strategy, preparing the stage for the great ceremony where the new quality labels for innovation data spaces, known as the i-Space label were unveiled.The session, which took place on 25 October from 18:00 to 18:45, placed the spotlight on the evolving landscape of data-driven innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.
